What does not kill you makes you stronger.

Despite going through a rough childhood, Rentarō stood strong and proud, undergoing difficult training and facing many setbacks and obstacles before gaining the strength to change the world around him. While he may not have been raised in a normal environment, it does not change his strong and kind personality that views everyone, even the outcasts of his society, as equals.

Taking his place on the frontlines of humanity’s battle against a zombie-like menace, Rentarō performs his duties with pride and honor. While he may not be the strongest among humanity’s protectors, he has priorities set straight. For Rentarō, saving people comes first, destroying the monsters comes second. This outlook often gets him branded a rookie, but Rentarō shows that one can be high-ranked as well as being compassionate at the same time.

To Rentarō, every life is precious. He knows the value of a life all too well, having lost his parents during his childhood. If need be, Rentarō will risk his own life so that the lives of others can be saved, even if he knows that sometimes a cruel outcome is inevitable.

Satomi Rentarō may seem like a scary high-schooler, but in truth, he is kind, caring and compassionate in his line of work. He is the kind of person who can make the world a better place, slowly, but surely.
